{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-7-1-901","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 7-1-901","heading":"Authorized insurance activities of depository institutions.","body":"(1) A depository institution authorized to do business in this state under this title may directly, or indirectly through a subsidiary or affiliate, engage in the following insurance activities:\n(a) engage in the insurance business as defined under Section 31A-1-301 except as may be limited by federal law;\n(b) act as an insurance producer or consultant as defined under Section 31A-1-301; or\n(c) engage in insurance adjusting as defined in Section 31A-26-102.\n(2) A depository institution, subsidiary, or affiliate, that engages in insurance activities authorized under Subsection (1) shall be subject to Title 31A, Insurance Code.","path":["Title 7 Financial Institutions Act","Chapter 7-1 General Provisions","Part 7-1-9 Depository Institution Insurance Powers"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title7/Chapter1/7-1-S901.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"d3f4c5aa534b1b9d02a8e331c75f8a1d423965759f775a0d777b6b656425bd4a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-7-1-810","next":"us-ut/utah-code-7-1-1001"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
