{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-7-25-205","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 7-25-205","heading":"Issuance of license.","body":"(1) Upon the filing of a complete application, the commissioner shall investigate the financial condition and responsibility, financial and business experience, character, and general fitness of the applicant. The commissioner may conduct an on-site investigation of the applicant, the reasonable cost of which is to be borne by the applicant in accordance with Subsection 7-1-401(6).\n(2) The commissioner shall issue a license to the applicant authorizing the applicant to engage in the licensed activities in this state if the commissioner finds that:\n(a) the applicant's business will be conducted honestly, fairly, and in a manner commanding the confidence and trust of the community;\n(b) the applicant has fulfilled the requirements imposed by this chapter; and\n(c) the applicant has paid the required original license fee under Section 7-1-401.","path":["Title 7 Financial Institutions Act","Chapter 7-25 Money Transmitter Act","Part 7-25-2 Licensing"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title7/Chapter25/7-25-S205.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"8bd9dfa6fac7b0f43353a6c823833683dc8a08b6e03e9fccf0ce340a58852a2b","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-7-25-204","next":"us-ut/utah-code-7-25-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
