{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-7-9-12","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 7-9-12","heading":"Contents of bylaws.","body":"The bylaws of a credit union shall specify at least the following:\n(1) the name of the credit union;\n(2) the purpose for which the credit union was formed;\n(3) a field of membership of the credit union that complies with Section 7-9-51 or 7-9-53;\n(4) the number of directors and procedures for their election;\n(5) the term of directors;\n(6) whether a credit manager, credit committee, or combination of both shall be responsible for credit functions of the credit union;\n(7) the duties of the officers;\n(8) the time of year of the annual meeting of members;\n(9) the manner in which members shall be notified of meetings;\n(10) the number of members which shall constitute a quorum at meetings;\n(11) the manner of amending;\n(12) the manner in which officers may act as surety; and\n(13) such other matters, rules, and regulations as the board of directors consider necessary.","path":["Title 7 Financial Institutions Act","Chapter 7-9 Utah Credit Union Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title7/Chapter9/7-9-S12.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"2b3d4b4baa7ddfde5804876c5dc51bd8caf7b9e83ca53c5e44e0ef75920a2fe2","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-7-9-11","next":"us-ut/utah-code-7-9-13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
