{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-7-9-17","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 7-9-17","heading":"Membership officer -- Appointment -- Eligibility -- Function -- Appeals from.","body":"(1) One or more membership officers may be appointed by the board of directors.\n(2) A membership officer may approve applications for membership under conditions prescribed by the board of directors and the bylaws.\n(3) A membership officer shall be appointed from among the members of the credit union.\n(4) A president, vice president, or loan officer may not serve as a membership officer.\n(5) The membership officer authorized to approve membership shall submit to the board of directors at each monthly meeting a list of approved or pending applications for membership received since the previous monthly meeting, and other related information as the board or the bylaws may require.\n(6) A person denied membership by a membership officer may appeal the denial to the board of directors.","path":["Title 7 Financial Institutions Act","Chapter 7-9 Utah Credit Union Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title7/Chapter9/7-9-S17.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"2cf4831b987b163cbaebf8ce469c057a1654fe0bc76e2d7f279986274777ef14","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-7-9-16","next":"us-ut/utah-code-7-9-18"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
