{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-71a-7-301","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 71A-7-301","heading":"Veterans cemeteries -- Development, operation, and maintenance -- Responsibilities of Department -- Costs.","body":"(1) The department shall develop, operate, and maintain veterans cemeteries.\n(2) To help pay the costs of developing, constructing, operating, and maintaining veterans cemeteries, the department may:\n(a) receive federal funds by following the procedures and requirements of Title 63J, Chapter 5, Federal Funds Procedures Act;\n(b) receive state funds, contributions from veterans organizations, and other private donations; and\n(c) charge fees for at least the cost of the burial of a veteran's spouse and any other persons, who the department determines is eligible to be buried in a veterans cemetery established by the state.","path":["Title 71A Veterans and Military Affairs","Chapter 71A-7 Veterans Memorials and Cemeteries","Part 71A-7-3 Veterans Cemeteries"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title71A/Chapter7/71A-7-S301.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"45a38247f00f768b5cfa6b243555bc31d822b0c2d4c442ac08782cc2e6cfd9d9","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-71a-7-203","next":"us-ut/utah-code-71a-8-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
