{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-72-10-416","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 72-10-416","heading":"Private airports designated as significant.","body":"(1) Upon request from an owner of a private airport, the department shall determine whether to designate a private airport as a significant private airport.\n(2) The department shall designate a private airport as a significant private airport if the department determines that the private airport:\n(a) is registered with the Federal Aviation Administration;\n(b) appears on aeronautical charts published by the Federal Aviation Administration; and\n(c) has significant infrastructure investment, such as a paved runway, lighting, fuel facilities, or more than 20 based aircraft.\n(3) If the department designates a private airport as a significant private airport, the department shall notify the relevant municipality or county of:\n(a) the department's designation; and\n(b) the municipality's or county's responsibility to make the recording described in Section 10-20-214 or 17-71-504.","path":["Title 72 Transportation Code","Chapter 72-10 Aeronautics and Space Act","Part 72-10-4 Airport Zoning Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title72/Chapter10/72-10-S416.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"9c8e72c38f1da3ee32f4d4426422cb5d29d5a17a427566f3e3d4761f5001f48a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-72-10-415","next":"us-ut/utah-code-72-10-501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
