{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-72-10-603","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 72-10-603","heading":"Duties of the Criminal Investigation and Technical Services Division -- Costs of separate file and background check.","body":"(1) If a city requests the division to conduct a criminal background check under Section 72-10-602, the division shall:\n(a) release to the city the full record of criminal convictions for the ground transportation service provider who is the subject of the background check;\n(b) if requested by the city, seek additional information from regional or national criminal data files in conducting the criminal background check;\n(c) maintain a separate file of fingerprints submitted under Section 72-10-602; and\n(d) notify the requesting city when a new entry is made against a ground transportation service provider whose fingerprints are held in the file.\n(2)\n(a) Each city requesting a criminal background check shall pay to the division the cost of:\n(i) maintaining the separate file of fingerprints under Subsection (1); and\n(ii) conducting a criminal background check under Section 72-10-602, including costs charged by the Federal Bureau of Investigation or other entity for conducting a national criminal background check, if requested by a city.\n(b) The cost borne by a city under Subsection (2)(a) may be covered by fees charged to a ground transportation service provider who is the subject of the background check.","path":["Title 72 Transportation Code","Chapter 72-10 Aeronautics and Space Act","Part 72-10-6 Airport Ground Transportation Security"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title72/Chapter10/72-10-S603.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"dda1f4f77e6f0380d4f2922b07a3b907f6a5a680c07cfbdbd3f6aa61421897d7","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-72-10-602","next":"us-ut/utah-code-72-10-604"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
