{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-72-16-401","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 72-16-401","heading":"Penalty for violation.","body":"(1) If an owner-operator or operator violates a provision of this chapter with respect to an amusement ride, in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 4, Administrative Procedures Act, the director may:\n(a) deny, suspend, or revoke, in whole or in part, the owner-operator's annual amusement ride permit or multi-ride permit for the amusement ride; or\n(b) impose fines or administrative penalties in accordance with rules made by the committee.\n(2) Upon a violation of a provision of this chapter, the director maybring an action in a court with jurisdiction under Title 78A, Judiciary and Judicial Administration, to enjoin the operation of an amusement ride.","path":["Title 72 Transportation Code","Chapter 72-16 Amusement Ride Safety Act","Part 72-16-4 Enforcement"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title72/Chapter16/72-16-S401.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"1c7c170d9edf0b75139f4081cced8ed0e3c9da8a007a94238ca5a2b568660f4f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-72-16-306","next":"us-ut/utah-code-72-16-402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
