{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-72-2-103","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 72-2-103","heading":"Limitations on Transportation Fund appropriations to agencies not a part of the Department of Transportation -- Exceptions.","body":"(1) Except as provided under Subsection (2), the amount appropriated or transferred from the Transportation Fund each year may not exceed a combined total of $11,600,000 to:\n(a) the Department of Public Safety;\n(b) the State Tax Commission;\n(c) the Division of Finance; and\n(d) any other state agency that is not a part of the Department of Transportation.\n(2) The following amounts are exempt from the appropriation and transfer limitations of Subsection (1):\n(a) amounts deposited in the Department of Public Safety Restricted Account created under Section 53-3-106;\n(b) revenue generated by the uninsured motorist identification fee under Section 41-1a-1218;\n(c) revenue generated by the motor carrier fee under Section 41-1a-1219; and\n(d) revenue generated by the Motorcycle Rider Education Program under Section 53-3-905.","path":["Title 72 Transportation Code","Chapter 72-2 Transportation Finances Act","Part 72-2-1 Transportation Fund and Highway Finances"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title72/Chapter2/72-2-S103.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"2ef163eda20169d2660a01d03a04bb57a63bf5a1fe930c8a92815414e7e0e1f7","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-72-2-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-72-2-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
