{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-72-2-135","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 72-2-135","heading":"Litter Abatement Expendable Special Revenue Fund.","body":"(1) There is created an expendable special revenue fund, known as the \"Litter Abatement Expendable Special Revenue Fund.\"\n(2) The fund shall consist of:\n(a) the landfill minimum fine for an unsecured load as described in Section 72-7-410; and\n(b) interest earnings on cash balances.\n(3) The department shall use money in the fund:\n(a) for litter cleanup efforts on or near highways, including highways near waste management facilities and other high-litter areas the department identifies;\n(b) for a public service campaign to generate awareness regarding the importance of proper transportation and disposal of waste, the negative impact of littering, and the need to maintain clean highways;\n(c) for increased enforcement of Sections 41-6a-1712, 41-6a-1713, and 72-7-410; and\n(d) for the department's costs in administering the account.","path":["Title 72 Transportation Code","Chapter 72-2 Transportation Finances Act","Part 72-2-1 Transportation Fund and Highway Finances"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title72/Chapter2/72-2-S135.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"cfc813b9cb06a02ca14edf76f7df42368db1ca1a107041d0223552e1da608594","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-72-2-134","next":"us-ut/utah-code-72-2-136"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
