{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-73-10g-501","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 73-10g-501","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this part:\n(1) \"Capital asset\" means an asset that:\n(a) is a significant investment or an essential component necessary to provide water service, including:\n(i) a facility;\n(ii) infrastructure, whether above or below ground level;\n(iii) equipment; or\n(iv) a communications network; and\n(b) is owned by a water provider.\n(2) \"Governing body\" means:\n(a) for a political subdivision, the political subdivision governing body defined in Section 63A-15-102; or\n(b) for a private entity, the private entity's board of directors, managing members, partners, or equivalent body.\n(3) \"Retail water supplier\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 19-4-102.\n(4) \"Water conservancy district\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 73-10-32.\n(5) \"Water provider\" means:\n(a) a retail water supplier; or\n(b) a water conservancy district.","path":["Title 73 Water and Irrigation","Chapter 73-10g Water Infrastructure and Long-term Planning","Part 73-10g-5 Capital Assets for Water"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title73/Chapter10g/73-10g-S501.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"ce14d249bfc2a71aa0959f7feeeaf8de57a9e8acc00160eee337b700078309ee","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-73-10g-404","next":"us-ut/utah-code-73-10g-502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
