{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-73-18-10","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 73-18-10","heading":"Owner of boat livery -- Duties.","body":"(1)\n(a) The owner of a boat livery shall keep a record of the following:\n(i) the name and address of the person hiring a vessel;\n(ii) the identification number of the vessel;\n(iii) the date on which and the bodies of water on which the vessel is launched;\n(iv) the vessel's departure date and time; and\n(v) the vessel's expected time of return.\n(b) The owner of a boat livery shall keep a record described in Subsection (1)(a) for at least one year.\n(2) Neither the owner of a boat livery nor the owner's agent, independent contractor, or employee may permit a vessel to depart from the premises of the boat livery unless the owner:\n(a) equips the vessel as required under this chapter; and\n(b) advises the lessee or renter of the vessel of the rules made under this chapter that the lessee or renter shall obey.\n(3) The owner of a boat livery and the owner's agent, independent contractor, or employee shall comply with Section 23A-10-306.","path":["Title 73 Water and Irrigation","Chapter 73-18 State Boating Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title73/Chapter18/73-18-S10.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"b45d70b624a207c07a698efff3a01f5a43e1ca484b0fc0fc3ab12a680372a85f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-73-18-9","next":"us-ut/utah-code-73-18-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
