{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-73-3d-403","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 73-3d-403","heading":"Security requirements.","body":"(1) As a condition of participating in mediation or arbitration under Section 73-3d-402, a person specified in the executive order declaring a temporary water shortage emergency shall post with the department a corporate surety bond, irrevocable letter of credit, trust fund agreement, or any other security agreement considered reasonable in an amount not less than $100,000.\n(2) The bond or other security posted shall be conditioned upon:\n(a) the faithful performance in mediation or arbitration; and\n(b) the payment of amounts owed under Section 73-3d-402.\n(3) If the department determines that the conditions of Subsection (2) are not met, the commissioner of the department shall bring an action upon the bond or other security.","path":["Title 73 Water and Irrigation","Chapter 73-3d Water Preferences During Emergencies","Part 73-3d-4 Compensation"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title73/Chapter3d/73-3d-S403.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"567c169e66e28b8267ba47ab5252c7ec7601c68fdcca03698e3660ec9454c236","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-73-3d-402","next":"us-ut/utah-code-73-4-1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
