{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-73-5a-203","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 73-5a-203","heading":"Review of plans.","body":"(1) The state engineer shall establish a formal written procedure for the review of plans submitted pursuant to Section 73-5a-202. Plans shall be reviewed according to:\n(a) design criteria which the state engineer shall specify in rules; and\n(b) data or criteria generally accepted by the general dam design community.\n(2) Upon review of the plans, the state engineer will:\n(a) approve them with appropriate conditions;\n(b) reject them; or\n(c) return them for correction.\n(3) The state engineer shall document each review indicating:\n(a) how the plans were reviewed; and\n(b) the state engineer's evaluation of the plans.","path":["Title 73 Water and Irrigation","Chapter 73-5a Dam Safety","Part 73-5a-2 Procedures for the Approval of Dam Construction Plans"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title73/Chapter5a/73-5a-S203.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"73eef9825403348bbd71964a1186a1a7fe2fecf9a9d66690a1a6c0037c97a52f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-73-5a-202","next":"us-ut/utah-code-73-5a-204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
