{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-75b-2-202","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 75B-2-202","heading":"Effect of administration in this state -- Consent to jurisdiction.","body":"(1) The trustee submits personally to the jurisdiction of the courts of this state regarding any matter involving the trust if the trustee acts as trustee of a trust administered in this state.\n(2)\n(a) To the extent of the beneficial interests in a trust administered in this state, the beneficiaries of the trust are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of this state regarding any matter involving the trust.\n(b) By accepting a distribution from such a trust, the recipient submits personally to the jurisdiction of the courts of this state regarding any matter involving the trust.\n(3) By accepting the delegation of a trust function from the trustee of a trust administered in this state, the agent submits to the jurisdiction of the courts of this state regarding any matter involving the trust.\n(4) Unless otherwise designated in the trust instrument, a trust is administered in this state if it meets the requirements of Subsection 75B-2-107(4).","path":["Title 75B Trusts","Chapter 75B-2 Uniform Trust Code","Part 75B-2-2 Jurisdiction and Venue for Trusts"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title75B/Chapter2/75B-2-S202.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"f11535f214fc3e0caf3de959f8ce6a42cabc466c7b9aa6d0a3dba27b7be38c6a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-75b-2-201","next":"us-ut/utah-code-75b-2-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
