{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-10-403","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 75E-10-403","heading":"Administration of Indigent Aggravated Murder Defense Fund.","body":"(1) The commission shall establish rules and procedures for:\n(a) the application by a county for disbursements; and\n(b) the screening and approval of the applications for the money from the fund.\n(2) The office shall:\n(a) receive, screen, and approve or disapprove the application of a county for disbursements from the fund;\n(b) calculate the amount of the annual contribution to be made to the fund by each participating county;\n(c) prescribe forms for the application for money from the fund;\n(d) oversee and approve the disbursement of money from the fund as described in Section 75E-10-402; and\n(e) negotiate, enter into, and administer contracts with legal counsel, qualified under and meeting the standards consistent with this chapter, to provide indigent defense services to an indigent individual prosecuted in a participating county for an offense involving aggravated murder.","path":["Title 75E Criminal and Juvenile Justice Administration","Chapter 75E-10 Office Of Indigent Defense Services","Part 75E-10-4 Indigent Aggravated Murder Defense Fund"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title75E/Chapter10/75E-10-S403.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"8ba43905b1b07ee54554daedf591e44cfc9033ede0e3f09e5c8b5f608bde0d74","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-10-402","next":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-10-404"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
