{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-11-307","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 75E-11-307","heading":"Use of assigned address -- Confidentiality.","body":"(1) A program participant may use the assigned address provided to the program participant to receive mail as provided in Subsection 75E-11-102(2).\n(2)\n(a) A state or local government entity may not refuse to use a program participant's assigned address for any official business, unless:\n(i) the state or local government entity is statutorily required to use the program participant's actual address; or\n(ii) the state or local government entity is permitted or required to use the program participant's actual address under this chapter.\n(b) A state or local government entity may confirm an individual's status as a program participant with the department.\n(3) A state or local government entity, after receiving a copy of the notification form from a program participant or a notification of the program participant's enrollment from the department, may not:\n(a) except as provided in Subsection (2)(a), refuse to use the assigned address for the program participant, or a minor or an incapacitated individual residing with the program participant;\n(b) except as provided in Subsection (4), require a program participant to disclose the program participant's actual address; or\n(c) except as provided in Section 75E-11-310, intentionally disclose to another person or state or local government entity the program participant's actual address.\n(4) Notwithstanding Subsections (2) and (3), a county clerk may require a program participant to disclose the program participant's actual address:\n(a) for voter registration; and\n(b) to enroll a program participant in a program designed to protect the confidentiality of a voter's address.\n(5) If a program participant is enrolled in a program designed to protect the confidentiality of a voter's address, a county clerk:\n(a) shall classify the program participant's actual address as concealed; and\n(b) may not disclose the program participant's actual address.","path":["Title 75E Criminal and Juvenile Justice Administration","Chapter 75E-11 Safe At Home Program","Part 75E-11-3 Program Administration"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title75E/Chapter11/75E-11-S307.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"270b7ce875c8c76710fd796a3c6b88f9c0c02e8769519d0ac475b177cceec32f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-11-306","next":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-11-308"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
