{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-3-101","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 75E-3-101","heading":"Definitions for chapter.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Commission\" means the Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice created in Section 75E-3-102.\n(2)\n(a) \"Rape crisis and services center\" means a nonprofit entity that assists victims of sexual assault and victims' families by offering sexual assault crisis intervention and counseling through a sexual assault counselor.\n(b) \"Rape crisis and services center\" does not include a qualified institutional victim services provider as defined in Section 53H-14-401.\n(3) \"Sexual assault\" means any criminal conduct described in Title 76, Chapter 5, Part 4, Sexual Offenses.\n(4) \"Sexual assault counselor\" means an individual who:\n(a) is employed by or volunteers at a rape crisis and services center;\n(b) has a minimum of 40 hours of training in counseling and assisting victims of sexual assault; and\n(c) is under the supervision of the director of a rape crisis and services center or the director's designee.","path":["Title 75E Criminal and Juvenile Justice Administration","Chapter 75E-3 Commission On Criminal And Juvenile Justice","Part 75E-3-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title75E/Chapter3/75E-3-S101.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"e80eee320b391d56c6c0984671653f4493dfc1d077918f0cd939627795627264","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-2-307","next":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-3-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
