{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-9-202","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 75E-9-202","heading":"Indigent Defense Resources Restricted Account -- Administration.","body":"(1)\n(a) There is created within the General Fund a restricted account known as the \"Indigent Defense Resources Restricted Account.\"\n(b) Appropriations from the account are nonlapsing.\n(2) The account consists of:\n(a) money appropriated by the Legislature based upon recommendations from the commission consistent with principles of shared state and local funding;\n(b) any other money received by the commission from any source to carry out the purposes of this chapter; and\n(c) any interest and earnings from the investment of account money.\n(3) The commission shall administer the account and, subject to appropriation, disburse money from the account for the following purposes:\n(a) to establish and maintain a statewide indigent defense data collection system;\n(b) to establish and administer a grant program to provide grants of state money and other money to indigent defense systems as described in Section 75E-9-203;\n(c) to provide training and continuing legal education for indigent defense service providers; and\n(d) for administrative costs.","path":["Title 75E Criminal and Juvenile Justice Administration","Chapter 75E-9 Indigent Defense Commission","Part 75E-9-2 Accounts And Grants"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title75E/Chapter9/75E-9-S202.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"0baedb1ea25813ed973822a3d5eda9b308c43c295f82db373484c031b71b39b8","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-9-201","next":"us-ut/utah-code-75e-9-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
