{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-15-209","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-15-209","heading":"Unlawful delivery or mailing of an explosive, chemical, or incendiary device.","body":"(1) Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5, 76-15-101, and 76-15-201 apply to this section.\n(2) An actor commits unlawful delivery or mailing of an explosive, chemical, or incendiary device if the actor:\n(a) delivers or causes to be delivered to an express or railway company or other common carrier, or to any person, an explosive, chemical, or incendiary device;\n(b) knows the explosive, chemical, or incendiary device to be an explosive, chemical, or incendiary device; and\n(c)\n(i) fails to inform the common carrier or person that the item is an explosive, chemical, or incendiary device; or\n(ii) sends the explosive, chemical, or incendiary device through the mail.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a second degree felony.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-15 Explosives and Weapons of Mass Destruction","Part 76-15-2 Explosives"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter15/76-15-S209.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"c1017a6d2e3b0ad2a0f2956a75bdcaa44c14289668944aa32f40d8da8c97333f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-15-208","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-15-210"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
