{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-5-310","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-5-310","heading":"Aggravated human trafficking for labor.","body":"(1) Terms defined in Section 76-1-101.5 apply to this section.\n(2) An actor commits aggravated human trafficking for labor if, in the course of committing an offense of human trafficking for labor under Section 76-5-308, the offense:\n(a) results in the death of an individual who is a victim of the offense described in Section 76-5-308;\n(b) results in serious bodily injury of an individual who is a victim of the offense described in Section 76-5-308;\n(c) involves:\n(i) rape under Section 76-5-402;\n(ii) rape of a child under Section 76-5-402.1;\n(iii) object rape under Section 76-5-402.2;\n(iv) object rape of a child under Section 76-5-402.3;\n(v) forcible sodomy under Section 76-5-403;\n(vi) sodomy on a child under Section 76-5-403.1;\n(vii) aggravated sexual abuse of a child under Section 76-5-404.3; or\n(viii) aggravated sexual assault under Section 76-5-405;\n(d) involves the trafficking of 10 or more individuals; or\n(e) involves an individual trafficked for longer than 30 consecutive days.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a first degree felony punishable by a term of imprisonment of not less than 10 years and which may be for life.\n(4) An offense under this section is a separate offense from any other offense committed in relationship to the commission of an offense under this section.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-5 Offenses Against the Individual","Part 76-5-3 Kidnapping, Trafficking, And Smuggling"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter5/76-5-S310.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"fea30b9ac45150b3af5eb5a437a4a5da108ab15a78de8b7d1d984c83fbfe1a88","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-5-309","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-5-310.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
