{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-5-416.2","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-5-416.2","heading":"Unlawful kissing of a child.","body":"(1)\n(a) As used in this section, \"child\" means an individual who is under 14 years old.\n(b) Terms defined in Section 76-1-101.5 apply to this section.\n(2) An actor commits unlawful kissing of a child if the actor:\n(a) is 18 years old or older; and\n(b) intentionally or knowingly:\n(i) kisses a child on the child's mouth; and\n(ii) penetrates the minor's mouth with the actor's tongue.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a class A misdemeanor.\n(4) Any penetration, however slight, of the mouth of the child by the actor's tongue is sufficient to constitute a violation of this section.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-5 Offenses Against the Individual","Part 76-5-4 Sexual Offenses"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter5/76-5-S416.2.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"e54d2eef015db0fd76b71165a39e5d991712922ece6052c7ed1575a7a31173c3","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-5-415","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-5-416.4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
