{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-5d-105","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-5d-105","heading":"Examination of testing procedures and results in legal proceedings.","body":"(1) Employees of a laboratory who conduct laboratory analysis of blood samples for presence of antibody to HIV provided pursuant to a request by a law enforcement agency or the Department of Corrections under Section 76-5d-103, may be examined in a legal proceeding of any kind or character as to:\n(a) the nature of the testing;\n(b) the validity of the testing;\n(c) the results of the test;\n(d) the HIV positivity or negativity of the individual tested;\n(e) the evidentiary chain of custody; and\n(f) other factors relevant to the prosecution, subject to the court's ruling.\n(2) This section applies only to the criminal investigation and prosecution under Section 76-5d-212, engaging in prostitution or sexual solicitation as an HIV positive offender.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-5d Prostitution","Part 76-5d-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter5d/76-5d-S105.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"949908a2788134255ba17c7c639ac530c38ae779c11405d61aba550864877fd0","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-5d-104","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-5d-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
