{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-6-302","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-6-302","heading":"Aggravated robbery.","body":"(1)\n(a) As used in this section, an act is considered to be \"in the course of committing a robbery\" if the act occurs in an attempt to commit, during the commission of, or in the immediate flight after the attempt or commission of a robbery.\n(b) Terms defined in Section 76-1-101.5 apply to this section.\n(2) An actor commits aggravated robbery if in the course of committing a robbery, the actor:\n(a) uses or threatens to use a dangerous weapon;\n(b) causes serious bodily injury to another individual; or\n(c) takes or attempts to take an operable motor vehicle.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a first degree felony.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-6 Offenses Against Property","Part 76-6-3 Robbery"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter6/76-6-S302.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"48b8b6139c4a8e4c7cdbd4b69b7a55196a09e814b2543b694be19ae8ff917fdc","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-6-301","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-6-401"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
