{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-7-108","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-7-108","heading":"Fraudulently acting as a parent or guardian for a minor's marriage.","body":"(1)\n(a) As used in this section, \"minor\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 76-7-103.\n(b) Terms defined in Section 76-1-101.5 apply to this section.\n(2) An actor commits fraudulently acting as a parent or guardian for a minor's marriage if the actor knowingly:\n(a) impersonates a parent or legal guardian of a minor to obtain a license for the minor to marry under Section 81-2-304; or\n(b) forges the name of a parent or legal guardian of a minor on any writing purporting to give consent to a marriage of a minor under Section 81-2-304.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a third degree felony.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-7 Offenses Against the Family","Part 76-7-1 Marital Violations"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter7/76-7-S108.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"7918d9b51423f0e92fa25255c0b555082ee3c7e575c2e161a73a57a7f8feebd5","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-7-107","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-7-109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
