{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-7-110","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-7-110","heading":"Traveling out of state to marry a minor.","body":"(1)\n(a) As used in this section, \"minor\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 76-7-103.\n(b) Terms defined in Section 76-1-101.5 apply to this section.\n(2) An actor commits traveling out of state to marry a minor if:\n(a) the actor is 18 years old or older;\n(b) the actor is a resident of the state and knowingly travels out of the state for the purpose of marrying a minor;\n(c) the actor marries a minor;\n(d) the marriage described in Subsection (2)(c) is invalid in this state under Subsection 81-2-407(3); and\n(e) after the marriage described in Subsection (2)(c), the actor transports, or causes another person to transport, the minor into the state.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a third degree felony.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-7 Offenses Against the Family","Part 76-7-1 Marital Violations"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter7/76-7-S110.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"1bb58d29a564d2eb1080619cb3ba450b398539ab211a7dcc4917da03906b4021","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-7-109","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-7-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
