{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-7-327","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-7-327","heading":"Remedies for father or maternal grandparents.","body":"(1) The father, if married to the mother at the time she receives a partial birth abortion, and if the mother has not attained the age of 18 years at the time of the abortion, the maternal grandparents of the fetus, may in a civil action obtain appropriate relief, unless the pregnancy resulted from the plaintiff's criminal conduct or the plaintiff consented to the abortion.\n(2) Such relief shall include:\n(a) money damages for all injuries, psychological and physical, occasioned by the violation of Section 76-7-326; and\n(b) statutory damages equal to three times the cost of the partial birth abortion.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-7 Offenses Against the Family","Part 76-7-3 Abortion"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter7/76-7-S327.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"12581e54b8932e7c63e0a8dd2da5d92734170f31d7445e2efce27a79416999aa","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-7-326","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-7-328"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
