{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-8-306.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-8-306.5","heading":"Obstructing service of a Board of Pardons and Parole warrant or a probationer order to show cause.","body":"(1) Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-8-101 apply to this section.\n(2) An actor commits obstructing service of a Board of Pardons and Parole warrant or a probationer order to show cause if the actor:\n(a) knows that:\n(i) the Board of Pardons and Parole has issued a warrant for a parolee; or\n(ii) a court has issued an order to show cause regarding a defendant's violation of the terms of probation; and\n(b)\n(i) harbors or conceals the parolee or probationer;\n(ii) provides the parolee or probationer with transportation, disguise, or other means or assistance to avoid discovery; or\n(iii) warns the parolee or probationer of the parolee's or probationer's impending discovery.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a third degree felony.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-8 Offenses Against the Administration of Government","Part 76-8-3 Obstructing Governmental Operations"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter8/76-8-S306.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"833b3a5929073c99d882cb1617fc0b4913fa9bbe5eba826d38b3de7afe28da6f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-8-306","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-8-307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
