{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-8-320","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-8-320","heading":"Trespass of a secure care facility.","body":"(1)\n(a) As used in this section:\n(i) \"Juvenile offender\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 76-8-311.5.\n(ii) \"Secure care facility\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 76-8-311.5.\n(b) Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-8-101 apply to this section.\n(2) An actor commits trespass of a secure care facility if the actor:\n(a) without permission, enters or attempts to enter a building or enclosure appropriated to the use of juvenile offenders;\n(b)\n(i) enters any premises belonging to a secure care facility; and\n(ii) commits or attempts to commit a trespass or damage on the premises of the secure care facility; or\n(c) willfully annoys or disturbs the peace and quiet of:\n(i) a secure care facility; or\n(ii) a juvenile offender in a secure care facility.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a class A misdemeanor.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-8 Offenses Against the Administration of Government","Part 76-8-3 Obstructing Governmental Operations"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter8/76-8-S320.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"f1c746c3887cd1144382cbcab957096d95a96bbde87b77c9e42cb8c0d031e7c4","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-8-319","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-8-321"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
