{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-8-407","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-8-407","heading":"Refusing to give accurate tax assessment information.","body":"(1) Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-8-101 apply to this section.\n(2) An actor commits refusing to give accurate tax assessment information if the actor:\n(a) unlawfully refuses, upon demand, to give to a county assessor or deputy county assessor a list of the actor's property subject to taxation, or to swear to such list; or\n(b) gives a false name, or fraudulently refuses to give the actor's true name when demanded by the county assessor or deputy county assessor in the discharge of the assessor's official duties.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a class B misdemeanor.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-8 Offenses Against the Administration of Government","Part 76-8-4 Offenses Against Public Property"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter8/76-8-S407.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"da67a5400aab634d8c712ecda9646c3637e3aa832a48d41e9ed336c9988d8364","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-8-406","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-8-408"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
