{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-9-803.3","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-9-803.3","heading":"Aggravated intimidating a minor to remain in a criminal street gang.","body":"(1) Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-9-802 apply to this section.\n(2) An actor commits aggravated intimidating a minor to remain in a criminal street gang if, in the course of committing an offense under Section 76-9-803.2, the offense:\n(a) involves the use of a dangerous weapon;\n(b) results in serious bodily injury to any individual; or\n(c) results in serious emotional distress to any individual.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is:\n(a) a third degree felony if the actor is a minor; or\n(b) a second degree felony if the actor is 18 years old or older.\n(4) It is not a defense to a prosecution under this section that the minor described in Subsection (2) left or ended the minor's affiliation with a criminal street gang.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-9 Offenses Against Public Order, Health, and Safety","Part 76-9-8 Criminal Gang Related Offenses"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter9/76-9-S803.3.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"05414b570007d0b5e50dd565875a96badc8edb37279912cfd414ccb0a0c2a60c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-9-803.2","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-9-804"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
