{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-76-9-804","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 76-9-804","heading":"Possession of a dangerous weapon by a convicted criminal gang offender.","body":"(1)\n(a) As used in this section, \"dangerous weapon\" means the same as that term is defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-11-101.\n(b) Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-9-802 apply to this section.\n(2) An actor commits possession of a dangerous weapon by a convicted criminal gang offender if:\n(a) the actor possess a dangerous weapon, ammunition, or a facsimile of a firearm; and\n(b) the actor's possession described in Subsection (2)(a) occurs within five years after the day on which the actor was convicted of an offense that was enhanced under Section 76-3-203.1.\n(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a class A misdemeanor.","path":["Title 76 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 76-9 Offenses Against Public Order, Health, and Safety","Part 76-9-8 Criminal Gang Related Offenses"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter9/76-9-S804.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"d6b668c9ca3e704865a52907043758af64ccf9c42cbb84f49c22b6085fd5ebd6","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-76-9-803.3","next":"us-ut/utah-code-76-9-805"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
