{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-77-10a-19","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 77-10a-19","heading":"Compensation for special prosecutors.","body":"(1) Compensation for special prosecutors under this section shall be paid by the Judicial Council. For this purpose, there is appropriated from the General Fund to the Judicial Council $50,000 as a separate line item in the budget of the Judicial Council for the fiscal year 1989-1990. The line item shall be nonlapsing.\n(2)\n(a) If during the fiscal year compensation of special prosecutors under this chapter exceeds $50,000, additional compensation shall be requested as a supplemental appropriation from the Legislature.\n(b) If during the fiscal year compensation of special prosecutors under this chapter is less than $50,000, the balance carries over to the next fiscal year, and the appropriation for that next fiscal year for prosecutor compensation shall be no more than the amount necessary to total $50,000 when added to the nonlapsing balance carried over from the prior fiscal year.","path":["Title 77 Criminal Procedure","Chapter 77-10a Grand Jury Reform"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title77/Chapter10a/77-10a-S19.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"c5199e66b677bff0df9617217fa3cdb69ba0f90401c7a8e6e3c7e993ff1c5e2d","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-77-10a-18","next":"us-ut/utah-code-77-10a-20"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
