{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-77-11d-103","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 77-11d-103","heading":"Statement of finder of property.","body":"(1) A person who finds lost or mislaid property and delivers it to a local law enforcement agency shall sign a statement included in a form provided by the agency, stating:\n(a) the manner in which the property came into the person's possession, including the time, date, and place;\n(b) that the person does not know who owns the property;\n(c) that, to the person's knowledge, the property was not stolen;\n(d) that the person's possession of the property is not unlawful; and\n(e) any information the person is aware of which could lead to a determination of the owner.\n(2) Additional information may be requested by the agency receiving the property, as necessary.","path":["Title 77 Criminal Procedure","Chapter 77-11d Lost or Mislaid Property"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title77/Chapter11d/77-11d-S103.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"1760ed9cb60371e9dfa6d751cc78e946d41b06563b911324078e75d04eb79338","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-77-11d-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-77-11d-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
