{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-77-42-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 77-42-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Attorney general\" means the Utah attorney general or a deputy attorney general.\n(2) \"Bureau\" means the Bureau of Criminal Identification of the Department of Public Safety established in Section 53-10-201.\n(3) \"Business day\" means a day on which state offices are open for regular business.\n(4) \"Certificate of eligibility\" means a document issued by the Bureau of Criminal Identification stating that the offender has met the requirements of Section 77-42-108.\n(5) \"Conviction\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 76-3-201.\n(6) \"Offender\" means an individual required to register as provided in Section 77-42-105.\n(7) \"Register\" means to comply with the requirements of this chapter and rules of the Office of the Attorney General made under this chapter.","path":["Title 77 Criminal Procedure","Chapter 77-42 Utah White Collar Crime Offender Registry"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title77/Chapter42/77-42-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"c9714a6d50a79b957b2bea7b529c0a9c8704e3d12b49645b3fd1d3a969c6c8f8","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-77-42-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-77-42-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
