{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-78a-7-101.1","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 78A-7-101.1","heading":"Definitions for chapter.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Adult high school student\" means an individual who:\n(a) is 18 years old and enrolled in high school at the time of the offense;\n(b) is under 21 years old at the time of all court proceedings; and\n(c) committed the offense on school property where the individual is enrolled:\n(i) when school was in session; or\n(ii) during a school-sponsored activity, as defined in Section 53G-8-211.\n(2) \"Body of water\" includes any stream, river, lake, or reservoir, whether natural or man-made.\n(3) \"Domestic violence offense\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 77-36-1.\n(4) \"Minor\" means an individual who is 16 or 17 years old.","path":["Title 78A Judiciary and Judicial Administration","Chapter 78A-7 Justice Court","Part 78A-7-1 Creation, Jurisdiction, and Procedure"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title78A/Chapter7/78A-7-S101.1.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"6881c9b7b4cf63f03597f8f222e5edefcdfa22ddc3903e0eda317b0265d6e58c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-78a-6-452","next":"us-ut/utah-code-78a-7-101.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
