{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-78a-7-301","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 78A-7-301","heading":"Justice Court Technology, Security, and Training Account established -- Funding -- Uses.","body":"(1) There is created a restricted account in the General Fund known as the Justice Court Technology, Security, and Training Account.\n(2) The state treasurer shall deposit in the account:\n(a) money collected from the surcharge established in Subsection 78A-7-122(4)(b)(iii); and\n(b) the administrative fee from a deferred prosecution or traffic school deferred prosecution under Subsection 77-2-4.2(5) or (6).\n(3) Money shall be appropriated from the account to the Administrative Office of the Courts to be used for:\n(a) audit, technology, security, and training needs in justice courts throughout the state;\n(b) additional compensation for presiding judges and associate presiding judges for justice courts under Section 78A-7-209.5; and\n(c) costs to implement, operate, and maintain deferred prosecution and traffic school deferred prosecution pursuant to Subsections 77-2-4.2(5) and (6).","path":["Title 78A Judiciary and Judicial Administration","Chapter 78A-7 Justice Court","Part 78A-7-3 Technology, Security, and Training Account"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title78A/Chapter7/78A-7-S301.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"936d5d51160cf343ba8ca3b1e42039c9a9aec240e2246662885899f6b158c90f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-78a-7-215","next":"us-ut/utah-code-78a-8-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
