{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-1-208","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 78B-1-208","heading":"Compensation of interpreter.","body":"(1) An interpreter appointed under this part is entitled to a reasonable fee for his or her services, including waiting time and reimbursement for necessary travel and subsistence expenses.\n(2) The fee shall be based on a fee schedule for interpreters recommended by the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation created in Section 35A-1-202 or on prevailing market rates.\n(3) Reimbursement for necessary travel and subsistence expenses shall be at rates provided by law for state employees generally.\n(4) Compensation for interpreter services shall be paid by the appointing authority if the interpreter is not otherwise compensated for those services.","path":["Title 78B Judicial Code","Chapter 78B-1 Juries and Witnesses","Part 78B-1-2 Interpreters for Hearing Impaired"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title78B/Chapter1/78B-1-S208.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"7eb1200d191ea3c6357a5859c7284dd19644928c56299eea0ad69429174e4878","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-1-207","next":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-1-209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
