{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-11-121","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 78B-11-121","heading":"Change of award by arbitrator.","body":"(1) On motion to an arbitrator by a party to an arbitration proceeding, the arbitrator may modify or correct an award:\n(a) on any grounds stated in Subsection 78B-11-125(1)(a) or (c);\n(b) if the arbitrator has not made a final and definite award upon a claim submitted by the parties to the arbitration proceeding; or\n(c) to clarify the award.\n(2) A motion under Subsection (1) must be made and notice given to all parties within 20 days after the movant receives notice of the award.\n(3) A party to the arbitration proceeding must give notice of any objection to the motion within 10 days after receipt of the notice.\n(4) If a motion to the court is pending under Section 78B-11-123, 78B-11-124, or 78B-11-125, the court may submit the claim to the arbitrator to consider whether to modify or correct the award:\n(a) on any grounds stated in Subsection 78B-11-125(1)(a) or (c);\n(b) if the arbitrator has not made a final and definite award upon a claim submitted by the parties to the arbitration proceeding; or\n(c) to clarify the award.\n(5) An award modified or corrected pursuant to this section is subject to Sections 78A-6-357, 78B-11-123, 78B-11-124, and 78B-11-125.","path":["Title 78B Judicial Code","Chapter 78B-11 Utah Uniform Arbitration Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title78B/Chapter11/78B-11-S121.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"376b3d6845ac09a2bfaa26fa278f0156c8dee338c4092b712af86f6f1339373d","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-11-120","next":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-11-122"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
