{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-2-307","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 78B-2-307","heading":"Within four years.","body":"An action may be brought within four years:\n(1) after the last charge is made or the last payment is received:\n(a) upon a contract, obligation, or liability not founded upon an instrument in writing;\n(b) on an open store account for any goods, wares, or merchandise; or\n(c) on an open account for work, labor or services rendered, or materials furnished;\n(2) for a claim for relief or a cause of action under the following sections of Title 25, Chapter 6, Uniform Voidable Transactions Act:\n(a) Subsection 25-6-202(1)(a), except in specific situations where the time for action is limited to one year under Section 25-6-305;\n(b) Subsection 25-6-202(1)(b); or\n(c) Subsection 25-6-203(1);\n(3) for a claim involving personal property damage to the aggrieved party's motor vehicle, as defined in Section 41-6a-102, or personal property from an accident involving a motor vehicle; and\n(4) for relief not otherwise provided for by law.","path":["Title 78B Judicial Code","Chapter 78B-2 Statutes of Limitations","Part 78B-2-3 Other than Real Property"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title78B/Chapter2/78B-2-S307.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"7c37012d53268548609d603bee1962dd98015a594b98498b4bb24b4538ec7f76","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-2-306","next":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-2-307.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
