{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-6-505.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 78B-6-505.5","heading":"Coordination with federal land management agencies.","body":"(1) Before filing an eminent domain action to condemn private land for a high voltage power line, a person shall:\n(a) if federal public land exists within one quarter mile of the proposed high voltage power line, submit a Standard Form 299, or equivalent form, to each relevant federal land management agency to identify potentially suitable federal public land for the proposed use;\n(b) document all efforts to coordinate with federal agencies; and\n(c) include the documentation described in Subsection (1)(b) in any subsequent eminent domain filing.\n(2) A person may file an eminent domain action to condemn private land if each relevant federal land management agency fails to respond within 60 days after the person files a Standard Form 299, or equivalent form, with the agency.","path":["Title 78B Judicial Code","Chapter 78B-6 Particular Proceedings","Part 78B-6-5 Eminent Domain"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title78B/Chapter6/78B-6-S505.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"f30cbf85ab6d750c12fef273389d2df2b3a609a000f34d902f9c17fcf377289e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-6-505","next":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-6-506"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
