{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-7-121","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 78B-7-121","heading":"Requirements for proceedings between the parents of a child.","body":"(1)\n(a) As used in this section, \"relevant proceeding\" means a civil proceeding under this chapter:\n(i) between the parents of a child;\n(ii) that involves the care or custody of the child; and\n(iii) that concerns a protective order under this chapter.\n(b) \"Relevant proceeding\" does not include:\n(i) any child protective, abuse, or neglect proceeding;\n(ii) a juvenile justice proceeding; or\n(iii) any child placement proceeding in which a state, local, or tribal government, a designee of such a government, or any contracted child welfare agency or child protective services agency of such a government is a party to the proceeding.\n(2) In a relevant proceeding, the court shall comply with the standards described in Section 81-9-104.","path":["Title 78B Judicial Code","Chapter 78B-7 Protective Orders and Stalking Injunctions","Part 78B-7-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title78B/Chapter7/78B-7-S121.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"492f7e9b12427bd564463a55353077b5e48bdbd3ac45fa199fba13c33e79245e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-7-120","next":"us-ut/utah-code-78b-7-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
