{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-79-4-202","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 79-4-202","heading":"Director -- Qualifications -- Duties.","body":"(1) The director is the executive and administrative head of the division.\n(2) The director shall demonstrate:\n(a) executive ability; and\n(b) actual experience and training in the conduct of park systems involving both physical development and program.\n(3) The director shall:\n(a) enforce the policies and rules of the division;\n(b) perform the duties necessary to:\n(i) properly care for and maintain any property under the jurisdiction of the division; and\n(ii) carry out this chapter; and\n(c) implement the comprehensive plan for long-term public use of state park resources developed by the division under Subsection 79-4-203(12).\n(4) The director shall acquire, plan, protect, develop, operate, use, and maintain park area and facilities in accordance with the policies and rules of the division.","path":["Title 79 Natural Resources","Chapter 79-4 State Parks","Part 79-4-2 Division Creation and Administration"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title79/Chapter4/79-4-S202.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"d2ee276f24740e6244f745cf83aa606056f6041ea400187c71d5a0030165627b","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-79-4-201","next":"us-ut/utah-code-79-4-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
