{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-8-6-2","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 8-6-2","heading":"Policies adopted and records kept.","body":"A cemetery maintenance district, municipality, individual, or other person that controls a cemetery shall:\n(1) adopt policies and procedures for the regulation of its affairs and the conduct of its business, including policies and procedures for the following:\n(a) setting of prices and other charges for services;\n(b) sale of burial rights;\n(c) regulation of headstones;\n(d) care of headstones;\n(e) regulation of flowers, shrubs, or other foliage placed or planted on an individual burial site; and\n(f) compliance with provisions of this title and other governing provisions of law; and\n(2) establish a record keeping system, including a secure backup of those records that is regularly updated.","path":["Title 8 Cemeteries","Chapter 8-6 Policies and Records"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title8/Chapter6/8-6-S2.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"25d92aa342eee7a7339e61d1c8079abace3f1ba5ca5bf73e315bf61a28e72233","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-8-6-1","next":"us-ut/utah-code-9-1-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
