{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-80-2-403","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 80-2-403","heading":"Child welfare caseworker safety and risk assessments.","body":"(1) A child welfare caseworker within the division shall use evidence-informed or evidence-based safety and risk assessments to guide decisions concerning a child throughout a child protection investigation or proceeding.\n(2) As part of an evidence-informed or evidence-based safety and risk assessment, the child welfare caseworker shall assess at least the following:\n(a) threat to the child's safety;\n(b) protective capabilities of a parent or guardian, including the parent or guardian's readiness, willingness, and ability to plan for the child's safety;\n(c) the child's particular vulnerabilities;\n(d) interventions required to protect the child; and\n(e) likelihood of future harm to the child.","path":["Title 80 Utah Juvenile Code","Chapter 80-2 Child Welfare Services","Part 80-2-4 Division Employees and Volunteers"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title80/Chapter2/80-2-S403.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"553cc8239e77bd5a4f75ae697655f4078c3250ed67c2c5219f588e7778911dde","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-80-2-402","next":"us-ut/utah-code-80-2-404"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
