{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-80-3-401","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 80-3-401","heading":"Pretrial and adjudication hearing -- Time deadlines.","body":"(1)\n(a) Upon the filing of an abuse, neglect, or dependency petition, the clerk of the juvenile court shall set the pretrial hearing on the petition within 15 calendar days after the later of:\n(i) the day on which the shelter hearing is held; or\n(ii) the day on which the abuse, neglect, or dependency petition is filed.\n(b) The pretrial hearing may be continued upon motion of any party for good cause shown as described in Utah Rules of Juvenile Procedure, Rule 54.\n(2) The final adjudication hearing shall be held no later than 60 calendar days after the later of:\n(a) the day on which the shelter hearing is held; or\n(b) the day on which the abuse, neglect, or dependency petition is filed.","path":["Title 80 Utah Juvenile Code","Chapter 80-3 Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency Proceedings","Part 80-3-4 Adjudication, Disposition, and Permanency"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title80/Chapter3/80-3-S401.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"64b6ea53c90636ee7db3fffc4c915cc3a66cec942d21f8197fb70c07b0f68f57","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-80-3-307","next":"us-ut/utah-code-80-3-402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
