{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-80-5-208","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 80-5-208","heading":"Care of pregnant minor in secure detention or secure care.","body":"(1) When a minor in secure detention or secure care is pregnant, the division shall:\n(a) ensure that adequate prenatal and postnatal care is provided; and\n(b) place the minor in an accredited hospital before delivery.\n(2) As soon as the minor's condition after delivery will permit, the minor may be returned to:\n(a) secure detention if the minor was placed in secure detention; or\n(b) secure care if the minor was committed to secure care.\n(3) If the division has concerns regarding the minor's fitness to raise the minor's child, the division shall make a referral for services for the minor and the minor's child to the Division of Child and Family Services.","path":["Title 80 Utah Juvenile Code","Chapter 80-5 Juvenile Justice Services","Part 80-5-2 Division Responsibilities"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title80/Chapter5/80-5-S208.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"22167fc9ac4049cf9e636a22a7e60389c50c1664bd98768c3e90f2af241ab319","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-80-5-207","next":"us-ut/utah-code-80-5-209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
