{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-80-8-201","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 80-8-201","heading":"Youth protection requirements.","body":"(1) A youth service organization may not employ a youth worker or allow an individual to volunteer as a youth worker unless the youth service organization has completed a registered sex offender check for the individual.\n(2) To facilitate the registered sex offender check required by Subsection (1), a youth services organization may require a potential youth worker to provide the individual's full name and, if the youth services organization has any question about the potential youth worker's identity, a current, government-issued identification.\n(3) If an individual is registered on the registry described in Title 53, Chapter 29, Sex, Kidnap, and Child Abuse Offender Registry, or the National Sex Offender Public Website, a youth service organization may not employ the individual as a youth worker or allow the individual to volunteer as a youth worker.","path":["Title 80 Utah Juvenile Code","Chapter 80-8 Youth Service Organizations","Part 80-8-2 Requirements and Penalties"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title80/Chapter8/80-8-S201.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"ba15f6fd4b32b6426c2b9f790dbcc57918fb4904f48b64970b324dbbf5dee2ea","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-80-8-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-80-8-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
