{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-81-14-303","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 81-14-303","heading":"General adoption information.","body":"(1) Within a reasonable time before a child-placing agency places a minor child for adoption with a prospective adoptive parent, the child-placing agency shall provide or cause to be provided to the prospective adoptive parent general adoption information.\n(2) The information under Subsection (1) shall address:\n(a) possible physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral issues concerning:\n(i) identity, loss, and trauma that a minor child might experience before, during, or after adoption; and\n(ii) a minor child leaving familiar ties and surroundings;\n(b) the effect that access to resources, including health insurance, might have on the ability of an adoptive parent to meet the needs of a minor child;\n(c) causes of disruption of an adoptive placement or dissolution of an adoption and resources available to help avoid disruption or dissolution; and\n(d) prohibitions under Sections 81-14-203 and 81-14-205.","path":["Title 81 Utah Domestic Relations Code","Chapter 81-14 Uniform Unregulated Child Custody Transfer Act","Part 81-14-3 Information and Guidance"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title81/Chapter14/81-14-S303.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"f47399ef37a19c6b7b8941edbc3f4815e0eace7296c3e3c132c213a915bf4727","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-81-14-302","next":"us-ut/utah-code-81-14-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
