{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-81-5-401","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 81-5-401","heading":"Maintenance of records.","body":"(1) The Office of Vital Records and Statistics shall register the following records that are filed with the office:\n(a) all declarations of paternity;\n(b) all judicial and administrative determinations of parentage; and\n(c) all notices of proceedings to establish parentage that are filed in accordance with Sections 81-13-207, 81-13-212, and 81-13-213.\n(2) A notice of initiation of parentage proceedings may not be accepted into the registry unless accompanied by a copy of the pleading that has been filed with the court to establish parentage.\n(3) A notice of initiation of parentage proceedings may not be filed if another man is the adjudicated or declarant father.","path":["Title 81 Utah Domestic Relations Code","Chapter 81-5 Uniform Parentage Act","Part 81-5-4 Registry"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title81/Chapter5/81-5-S401.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"7b0f6f8936d2c84b066c53dc7e75b8ea1581d14b21dc4a662a10981340fd9bba","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-81-5-313","next":"us-ut/utah-code-81-5-402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
